Express Checkout: Toys R Us (UK) have entered administration today after struggling to pay a VAT demand. The chain has made a loss for the last 7 years (from 8) and has struggled with a mountain of debt and an aged store estate with locations that are broadly out of town.
Express Checkout: Tesco and Booker have ratified their merger / takeover today, with 85% voting in favour of the deal. Tesco have already started to integrate Booker, with a Chef Central implant store in Cambridge (former Dobbies) and two Extra stores benefitting from an expanded range within the store in seasonal space.
